Discover the World

My first discovery of the world was through Google Earth. I was about 10 or eleven years old and I’d just found this amazing program in which you could travel around the world from your computer. I visited tropic beaches, cold mountain ranges, and faraway cities that were so different from what I knew that they all felt alien to me.

And now I’m really there. I feel the sand between my toes on those beaches. I climb those mountains and marvel at the views. I roam alien cities and try to live like a local. Here is my journey as I discover the world for real, just like I did so many years ago behind my computer.
